In the spring of 1996, Pastor Jeff and Kirsty Chaignon responded to the call of God to come to Vancouver Island. Jubilee Christian Centre was established in February 1997 in Nanoose Bay. The congregation continued to grow and in 2003, Jubilee moved into Nanaimo at the Applecross Business Centre. Then in 2005 Jubilee moved into its current location at 1085 Moyse Crescent.
Pastor Greg Lemky and his wife Sandy took over Pastorship of Jubilee in July of 2013 after having spent the previous 15 years as missionaries in Uganda, Africa. Together they directed Spring Of Life Ministry Africa (SOLMA) tending to the spiritual as well as physical needs of the Ugandan people.
As of June 1, 2015, Jubilee Christian Centre underwent another big change when we became Oasis Church and moved into a new building at the German Cultural Centre.
